Helpful , locally owned , friendly. I had a great experience with them.
I was looking for a new Presby septic system and I found Andrew J Foss. This company is great, awesome customer service, honest people, and really helpful. Thank you Andrew.
I have been a customer of AJ Foss for 18 years, they go out of there way to make my jobs successful. They are always prompt and courteous, I will continue to use them in the future
Andrew J Foss has everything I need as an excavation contractor. Their service is prompt and their prices are very competitive.
I called them to buy a septic tank and distribution box and they were very helpful and reasonably priced. I would buy from them again!!!!!!
I have had the opportunity to cross paths with AJ Foss many times over the past 10 years, and I have been consistently impressed with the quality of this organization. The number of contractors that trust AJ Foss for their precast concrete needs tells the story. Contractors don't want to insecurity, and the trust they put in AJ Foss speaks volumns. A quality family-run operation that has served southern NH for decades. If you are a contractor and you are NOT using AJ Foss, you owe it to yourself to check them out.

The wastewater plumbing distribution box, or D-box, is a key component of any sewage disposal system. Water effluent (wastewater) drains from the septic tank and enters the distribution box. The job of the D-box is to divide the waste water (effluent) evenly for discharge to the leaching system.

At any home or business property, it is critical that a distribution box is set perfectly level to prevent unequal distribution. An area with unequal distribution due to a non-level D-box is a main cause of failed leach fields. Customers often use Polylok© equalizers to equalize an uneven D-box. The installation team can easily test for levelness by adding water to the D-box.

Discharge pipes must also receive equal amounts of effluent for the system to function properly.  If the fluid flow is unequal or inconsistent, the effluent will not be uniformly distributed throughout the leach field. One section of the leach field will receive effluent in excess of the design amount, while another section receives little or no effluent. Distribution boxes are sometimes used to monitor the effluent going to the leach field.

High-Quality Concrete Distribution Boxes

Our team crafts each precast concrete distribution box using high-quality 5,000 psi concrete that is regularly tested using ASTM C31 and C39 quality testing guidelines. Our Type III high early strength cement is also tested monthly to ensure that it complies with ASTM Standard C 150 and AASHTO M 85 requirements.

We use Polylok© Low Pressure Pipe Seals in our distribution boxes. These seals require no sealing or mortaring, and accept pipe from two to four inches. Also, several pipe classes will work including: Schedule 40, sewer and drain, and SDR 35 pipe.
